The exhibition will be held at two venues, the Grand Postal Building, Underground Hall and PT- Warehouse by P.Tendercool Gallery.

‘Food’ has always been the main factor in our survival. Its evolution has been on parallel with our lives since the very beginning. Embedded within different race and places, food has been changing and developing into many distinct identities. The TASTE TEST exhibition presents experiments, researches, and the possibilities of ‘food consumption’.
SALT AND PEPPER DESIGN STUDIO (Anchana Thongpaitoon / Pipidh Khowsuwan), Patipat Chaiwitesh, party/space/design, Monkey can fly (Jitlakha Suksermsongchai), Sumphat (Rush Pleansuk) are the group of designers that put together this exhibition while working alongside the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Assumption University (Lead by Patchanee Yasurin). This collaboration resulted in a working model that integrates the knowledge of esthetic of art and design with science.

EAT ART

Started from the interest in pigments.
We are familiar with pigments since we have been manufacturing and using them for a very long time. Pigments or food coloring have been used to make food look more appetizing. However, more and more synthetic food coloring are being used nowadays. This make us stop to take a closer look at natural materials that we can find locally. They are available in our own backyard, local markets and even supermarkets. We are able to see more clearly, the varieties of natural colors that surround us. By scientifically extracting natural pigments, Salt and pepper design studio created new alternatives to food coloring.
