BANGKOK DESIGN WEEK 2020

" Exhibition Entrance
On the glass in front of the exhibition will be a sign saying "Dreamscape Experience". At the far end of the walkway, we will use letters to attract the viewer's attention with the name of the exhibition laid on the wall. Each letter will be able to turn and reflect with RGB light resulting in reflective white light with a colored shadow effect, inviting people in and can be a spot to take photographs. "

"Where there is a space for imagination in reality."
Amidst our audacious dreams, our thoughts and wildest imaginations often sparked in extraordinary spaces. It could be formed from experiences, impressions of love, happiness, or even the fear of the unknown that shapes our imaginations. All of these makes thing unpredictable, obscure, and difficult to find its own definition.
What it does, the imagination only inspires dreamer.

ในห้วงแห่งความฝัน ความคิดและจิตนาการมักจะพาเราไปยังสถานที่ที่แปลกประหลาดอยู่เสมอ อาจเป็นเพราะประสบการณ์บางอย่าง ความประทับใจ ความรัก ความสุข หรือแม้แต่ความกลัวและความไม่รู้ที่มาเป็นส่วนประกอบ แต่ก็เพราะเหตุนี้แหละถึงทำให้จิตนาการเป็นสิ่งที่คาดเดาได้ยาก รูปร่างไม่ชัดเจน และยากเกินที่จะหาคำจำกัดความ นอกจากให้แรงบันดาลใจกับนักช่างฝันเท่านั้นเอง

FEAR
FEAR ORIGINATES FROM THE UNKNOW
OFTEN THE ORIGIN OF FEAR IS SOMETHING FAR FROM TANGIBLE.
FEAR IS SOMETHING, WE CREATED OURSELVES.
TO OVERCOME THE UNKNOWN WITHIN OURSELVES,
OUR FIRST STEP IS TO FACE OUR FEARS WITHOUT THE ASSURANCE OF WHAT IS AHEAD, LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
WE MAY DISCOVER THAT OUR NEXT STEP LEADS US TO A PLACE, WHERE WE FIND OUR INSPIRATION TO START ANEW.

" The atmosphere of the exhibition in this zone mimics the natural landscape of caves. The designer chose to use materials with various rock surfaces creating a big combination of rocks. The entry is narrow while the inside is more spacious. The use of light effect makes it seems like water is dripping from the ceiling to the ground. Moving on, the audience will find their way to the second exhibition through the light, shining into the cave. "

SALTLICK
THERE'S A MAGICAL PLACE IN NATURE...
A PLACE THAT IS ABUNDANT WITH MINERALS ATTRACTS ALL KINDS OF ANIMALS FROM VAST DISTANCES OF THE FOREST.
WITH PASSION, BELIEF, AND FAITH IN THE DESTINATION AHEAD, TREACHEROUS ROAD PATHS AND ENEMIES WILL NOT STOP THEM.
THIS IS BECAUSE 'BRAVERY IS NOT WITHOUT FEAR, BUT TO MOVE FORWARD EVEN WHEN YOUR HEART IS FULL OF FEAR.'

" The natural aspect of this zone is wild animals. By simulating the salt marsh where the animals gather. An atmosphere where the color of the sky reflects onto the water. The designer chose wood for the animals and metal for the water, creating a new combination of materials."

THE CIRCULAR RAINBOW : HOPE FOR THE BETTER
LIFE IS A JOURNEY THROUGH THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES. REGARDLESS OF HOW DESPERATE THE SITUATIONS OR AWFUL WE MIGHT FEEL, IT IS NEVER THE END. BY STAYING PATIENT, DETERMINED, HOPEFUL AND POSITIVE, OUR REWARD IS LIKE RAINBOW THAT APPEARS AFTER THE STROME.
RAINBOWS ARE CIRCULAR IN NATURE, BUT WE SEE THE ARC ONLY AS WE ARE BLOCKED BY OUR HORIZON. TO ENJOY THE COLOR OF RAINBOW, WE NEED TO RISE ABOVE THE HORIZON.

" This exhibition aims to replicate the energy and natural phenomena, like bringing a rainbow into the exhibit itself. Through the reflection of light and the material, a rainbow is produced all over the curved wall as well as over the water. The effect covers the whole area and goes in a loop."

The exit mimics the sparse forest where we can see tall trees and lights shining through, invitingly. "
